"The Call of the Moon" (2021)
-
Instrumentation: Two violins, main singer, vocal ensemble.
-
Description: This is a short song inspired from my current enjoyment of the fantasy genre. It tells the story of a moonlight festival, celebrating the night before a battle the next morning. I took plenty of inspiration from the Renaissance dance music like the 6/8 jig, and applied it to my own musical style.

I wrote and recorded this piece with my classmates for a songwriting course. Hector Camacho Salazar sang for the main character; Diana Moran wrote the song's lyrics and sang for the female villagers; I played the violin parts and sang for the male villagers.
